The Public Advocate performs a range of functions under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1993.
In undertaking systemic advocacy to protect and promote the rights and safety of South Australians with impaired decision-making capacity, the Public Advocate writes submissions and prepares consultation papers which are presented to Ministers and senior government officials.
